If you are hoping that Apple watch is going to replace your smartphone then you are wrong in it. It does not have any onboard networking of its own, so it is totally dependent on Wi-Fi or cellular of your iPhone. It has one another limitation too, it only works with iPhone 5 or later models. Yeah, you read it right, it won’t even work with iPod touch or iPad.

 

#2 You Must Charge it Every Night

While Apple says that it will deliver 18 hours battery life during a combination of time checks, app use, notifications and workout with music playback. It totally depends on you, how you use and how often. It has a feature that if your battery gets very low, the Apple watch can shift into power saver mode, which will limit your watch to just showing the time by extending its remaining life for up to 72 hours. This feature is killing!


 

#3 You Need A Different Charger Cable

In this case you are helpless, if you are hoping that your existing charger is enough for charging your Apple watch, then you are wrong. It includes a special magnetic induction charger which is similar to that of your electric toothbrush. That means you need to keep an extra chord in your bag for charging of your watch for overnight trips.

 

#4 Good News… It’s Water Resistant

It is fairly water resistant but not water proof. It meets the International Electro technical Commission (IEC) IPX7 standard. It claims that it can withstand water up to a meter height for thirty minutes.

 

#5 It Has Limited Onboard Storage For Music

It has 8 GB of flash storage onboard out of which 2 GB is dedicated for music, the rest is used by watch’s operating system, apps and 75 MB is reserved for tiny photos. You have to keep a point into mind is that iPod shuffle has 2 GB of storage, where Apple says that it can store enough number of songs for your workouts.

 

#6 It Can Be Expensive Or Cheap

Due to amount of variation in material and design you have to pay pretty much for a watch, from $349 aluminum model with a ” fluoroelastomer ” rubber band to all the way up to  $17,000 rose gold or yellow gold versions with leather straps that cost more than some cars.
